Our Conservation Volunteer groups will be organised for weekdays and run from 10am-3pm depending on the weather, task and enthusiasm!
Tools are provided but volunteers need to wear appropriate clothing (tough shoes and gardening gloves essential), to bring a packed lunch and a drink.
Friendly dogs are welcome too! Recently work has included clearing rhododendron from woodland, pulling up small Scots pines invading heathland and clearing footpaths in the 'lost wild garden' of Chelwood Vachery - where much future effort will be concentrated.
If you would be interested in joining or hearing about the conservation volunteer work groups please contact the office on 01342 823583 or email [email protected].
