The Parish Liaison Panel was set up by the Board of Conservators in 2008 to discuss issues of common interest with representatives of local Parish and Town Councils.
The parishes involved were: Danehill, Forest Row, Hartfield, Maresfield, West Hoathly, Buxted, Withyham and Crowborough Town Council.
Over the last four years the Panel has actively contributed to a number of consultations carried out by the Conservators including:
- Potential site move to Llama Park
- Forest Centre Development
- Deer Culling
- Governance
and provided support to a number of grant applications.

- Items from parishes
In addition to the Parishes/Town Councils above, the following are now also invited:
Ashurst Wood, East Grinstead, Fletching, Uckfield, Mayfield, Ardingly and Horsted Keynes. The Friends of Ashdown Forest also attend.
Meetings are four times per year at the Forest Centre. Minutes are posted on the Ashdown Forest website (below) and Parishes/Town Councils are encouraged to post them on their individual websites.
