There a a few areas of  Forest management where fees are payable to the Board of Conservators. All fees change in April.

Application Forms

Temporary licences for estate agent boards & builders boards
Estate agents boards placed on the Forest verges or trackways require a licence. Property owners or their estate agents should download this form and send it, with the fee, to the office. Any boards found to be without a licence will be removed by the Rangers.

Deposit licences are for materials left on the Forest during building work. As some propeties have very small gardens the Board have arranged a system that allows property owners, during building work, to have materials placed on the Forest.  IF AT ALL POSSIBLE MATERIALS SHOULD BE STORED WITHIN THE CURTLIDGE OF THE PROPERTY. If you find you need to have a skip or building materials a deposit will be taken.  Once the work is completed and the materials are cleared away a Ranger will visit, check the site to ensure it has been restored and arrange for 90% refund to be made.

Riding permits
Permits are either issued for six-months or one year.  Badge colours and numbers change annually. We are not currently able to issue day permits. An annual permit runs from 1st April 2010 to 31 March 2011. They do not run for a year from the date you take them out!

Badges returned by Monday 1st November 2010 will count as a ‘summer’ permit and will qualify for a partial refund as detailed under ‘permit fees’ on the application form.  There will be no refunds on badges returned AFTER Monday 1st November 2010.  Refunds will not be made under any other circumstances.

Winter permits will from 31st September 2010 to 31 March 2011.

If you are renewing your permit please remember to return your old badge with your application form. Please note: the postage required is a second class large letter stamp.  This year we will not be paying the excess charges and the Post Office will open the letter and return it to you - this can take up to six weeks.
